The Certified HIPAA Security Specialist™ (CHSS™) exam is administered online through the HIPAA Certification Online and can be taken 24 hours a day, worldwide.

The testing fee of $495 can be made with a credit card via a secure Web page.

Exam Fees

The Certified HIPAA Security Specialist™ (CHSS™) exam fee is $495. Exam fees are not included in training costs.

The Certified HIPAA Security Specialist™ (CHSS™) Exam is based on 4 Areas. The percentages of each domain in the exam are defined in the following Table:

Exam Retake Policy

If the candidate does not pass the CHSS™ certification examination, he or she may register to take the certification examination online for $395.

Certification Renewal

Candidates who tested prior to June 20, 2003 must take and pass the current CHSS™ exam in order to re-certify. Requirements for candidates who tested after June 20, 2003 are pending. For complete detail please click here.
